To be honest, this one kind of slow, it was all about Robin and Cormoran relationship as a partner. I've been rooting that Robin and Cormoran gonna be together. So I gradually accept that there are much more in these two relationship. Something beyond love, more like into professional relationship.
The kind of feeling that you are rather be with your co worker instead with your own family only to realize in the end you actually fighting for your own self. None ass you gonna save only of your own.
Goodreads Summary : When a mysterious package is delivered to Robin Ellacott, she is horrified to discover that it contains a woman’s severed leg.
Her boss, private detective Cormoran Strike, is less surprised but no less alarmed. There are four people from his past who he thinks could be responsible – and Strike knows that any one of them is capable of sustained and unspeakable brutality.
With the police focusing on the one suspect Strike is increasingly sure is not the perpetrator, he and Robin take matters into their own hands, and delve into the dark and twisted worlds of the other three men. But as more horrendous acts occur, time is running out for the two of them…
Career of Evil is the third in the series featuring private detective Cormoran Strike and his assistant Robin Ellacott. A mystery and also a story of a man and a woman at a crossroads in their personal and professional lives.
Fighting alone. That is the theme of this novel. How actually that feeling of longing develop and leaving you rotten inside. Patient and sacrifice. We never expect people to understand, because we are sometimes confuse with our own decision. Through the reading, I began to put myself in Robin shoes, about feeling that she encounters, dilemmas and heartbroken.
Sometimes, we never know that we actually will be rising a monster. I learned and reminiscing so much from this novel. To be a part of someone life that I broke and be nobody instead. Painful it is. Yeah, life must go on, and a pain like that only can be called history.
There is so much to explore in the future.
Kudos for the character development, tho it takes time for me to digest but in the end nothing on the review that I can only say that this book have hidden gems in it. In terms of feeding curiousity may be less satisfying, but in terms of relationship was indeed a fresh to the mind. Kudos again.
