Just finished my third book of the months! OMG. Haha. I never believe it myself. So, you all may know what are the reason behind all my hiatus. Of course, reading and reading again. And there is also few courses that I need to attend well you know for improving thingy - Alhamdulillah for the hectic week.
But yes, lets have some review.
Its hard to resist and move on from the previous series of Cormoran and Robin adventure (The Cuckoo's Calling) , definitely this two are the best partner in investigation ever. So, I grab the second novel by putting Seruan Trilogy in que before I finish this current novel. I fall in love with both of the characters (and I hope not to be blinded by the author status) but still, I enjoyed this novel so much. Im glad I've picked it up from the first place.
Private investigator Cormoran Strike returns in a new mystery from Robert Galbraith, author of the #1 international bestseller The Cuckoo's Calling. When novelist Owen Quine goes missing, his wife calls in private detective Cormoran Strike. At first, Mrs. Quine just thinks her husband has gone off by himself for a few days—as he has done before—and she wants Strike to find him and bring him home. But as Strike investigates, it becomes clear that there is more to Quine's disappearance than his wife realizes. The novelist has just completed a manuscript featuring poisonous pen-portraits of almost everyone he knows. If the novel were to be published, it would ruin lives—meaning that there are a lot of people who might want him silenced. When Quine is found brutally murdered under bizarre circumstances, it becomes a race against time to understand the motivation of a ruthless killer, a killer unlike any Strike has encountered before
Tbh, this novel are easy to predict who the real doer is, just that RG usually and habit-ly conceal the truth by letting her readers believe that they were loaded with enough information by holding the real mystery which best to be reveal at the end of the plot *this is where everything make sense-that-kind of feeling).
I'm reading this book by knowing that I know who the real killer is, but I do not have enough proof to accuse that character. That is the very reason why I need to read the book page by page, so that I does not miss anything in concluding my inference.
Yet, it still an enjoyable reading. All the mystery stuff will only lead you to an end of satisfy results. Plus now, I'm reading the third novel of Cormoran Strike mystery adventures, and on this third book I began to notice that its all about Strike and Robin hidden personal feelings (cause I'm rooting on it). Tho when I read the third one it sound more like a romance novel instead of a mystery novel. But its always nice to know and predict who the real doer in this third novel.
